Monopoly Events, which runs Comic-Con conventions across the UK, banned Meta smart glasses and other “wearable recording devices” after guests said they were filmed without consent and were reluctant to attend future events. Attendees caught using the devices risk being asked to leave and forfeiting any unfulfilled autograph or photo purchases.
