Royal Caribbean added smart glasses capable of recording video or audio to its prohibited items list, barring their use in public restrooms, Youth Program areas, medical areas, and casinos fleet-wide. The restriction stops short of a full ban — guests can still bring the devices into their cabins and other unrestricted spaces — but violators risk having them confiscated. Royal Caribbean is the second major cruise line to restrict smart glasses, following MSC Cruises’ broader public-areas ban the previous year.
